About MES Education
The facilitation and strengthening of other’s unique voices and creative perspectives, through Art, SEN (Special Education Needs) and English Language, is founder, Caroline's passion, and the inspiration behind the creation of Mosaic Education Studios, or MES, for short. Caroline's passion stems from many years of experience teaching Art and Design and English in international settings where she had the privilege of working with students and educators from many different countries and cultures, each with their own fascinating backgrounds, insights and “voices.”
MES is an education service offering high quality, bespoke workshops and courses which truly responds to students’ needs, passions and strengths. Founded just over two years ago, MES works with a diverse range of private clients, from Primary School students and their families to retired professionals, and, also, with larger Educational Partners such as Clarion UK.
At MES, one-to-one workshops and courses for small groups, take place in a bespoke studio situated in a beautiful green space in the heart of the leafy village of Hemingford Abbots – conveniently situated just minutes from the A14. The studio is warm and welcoming, and the surrounding garden, with its thoughtful planting and pond, offers course participants a quiet space for mindful reflection.
Workshops and courses for larger groups take place in a light-infused studio next to the river in the historic market town of St. Ives. Again, the St. Ives studio is just minutes from the A14, and the surrounding area offers charming walks along the picturesque River Ouse. MES, is, however, very flexible with location - workshops and courses can take place in your home, place of work or online via Skype or Facetime.
MES keeps abreast of research and development in Art & Design, SEN and English Language teaching and is very active in continued professional development. MES regularly attends education seminars and workshops in the SEN arena; the MES founder holds an MA in Art & Design and recently completed a PG Cert in Special Education: Autism, passing with a distinction.
MES strongly believes in equal access to education for all learner profiles and is fully committed to breaking down the barriers to learning for students with differing learner profiles including those with autism and other social and emotional needs. MES works with a range of children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum, and with other additional needs, such as dyslexia. In support, MES offers everyday practical strategies and emotional help, both to the individuals concerned, and their families. MES adopts a pre-emptive approach to teaching individuals with additional needs, building structure and predictability into workshops and courses and delivering them positively.
All course participants at MES are encouraged to be self-directed in their learning and self-development. Realistic, achievable goals are set whilst participants are encouraged to take risks in their learning and challenge themselves. Successes, however big or small, are shared and celebrated.
MES has up-to-date DBS checks and is fully committed to equal opportunities. The studios are also up-to-date with all current SEN, Safeguarding and Data Protection Policies.
